The Hate U Give - Angie Thomas - English Review

Starr Carter lives in a poor black neighborhood, but goes to an expensive white school. The balance that Starr has found between these two worlds is upset when Starr witnesses the death of her childhood friend Khalil.
He is shot by a police officer while he himself is unarmed. Starr is sad and confused, and must find her way in a world full of inequalities and prejudices. At school they think Khalil made it himself, and they call him a criminal and even a drug dealer. Meanwhile, her neighbors take to the streets in protest against the police, who do not want to investigate the shooting. Everyone wonders: what happened now? Starr is the only one who can answer that. But telling the truth is more difficult than ever, because what Starr says or doesn't say can put life at risk.

This is one of the best books ever! It is realistic, moving, intense and a beautiful story. It is a book that leaves a good impression. I love the writhing style. This book gets 5 stars from me! This is one of my top 5 books and I definitely recommend it!
